Prophet David (AS): The Prophet to Whom God Granted Kingdom and Wisdom

Prophet David (AS) is one of the prophets of the Children of Israel, the father of Prophet Solomon (AS), and the fourteenth generation descendant of Prophet Abraham (AS). He is praised and described in several verses of the Quran. His divine scripture is called the **Zabur (Psalms)**, which contains praises and glorification of God, supplications, advice, and moral teachings. One of the most notable events in his life was the slaying of Goliath (Jalut) while he was in the army of Talut (Saul).

The **Zabur** contains praises and glorification of God, advice, supplications, and moral teachings. It did not include commandments or prohibitions, as Prophet David (AS) followed the same law as the Torah. The Zabur had a distinctive style and was rich in sermons.
