✅ Prophet David (AS): The Prophet to Whom God Granted Kingdom and Wisdom

🔹 Prophet David (AS) is one of the prophets of the Children of Israel, the father of Prophet Solomon (AS), and the fourteenth generation descendant of Prophet Abraham (AS). He is praised and described in several verses of the Quran. His divine scripture is called the **Zabur (Psalms)**, which contains praises and glorification of God, supplications, advice, and moral teachings. One of the most notable events in his life was the slaying of Goliath (Jalut) while he was in the army of Talut (Saul).

🔹 Prophet David (AS) is one of the prophets of the Children of Israel, the father of Prophet Solomon (AS), and the fourteenth generation descendant of Prophet Abraham (AS). He is praised and described in several verses of the Quran.

🔹 His divine scripture, the **Zabur**, contains praises and glorification of God, supplications, advice, and moral teachings. The slaying of Goliath by David while he was in the army of Talut is one of the most significant events in his life. After the death of Talut, Prophet David took over the leadership of the Children of Israel.

🔹 The name "Dawud" or "David" means "beloved." Prophet David (AS) lived around **972 BC**. He was born in a region between Egypt and the Levant and worked as a shepherd in his childhood. He was a descendant of Prophet Jacob (AS).

🔹 The name of Prophet David is mentioned **sixteen times** in the Quran. God granted him **kingdom and wisdom** and taught him whatever He willed. Additionally, the mountains and birds would join him in glorifying God.

🔹 The **Zabur** contains praises and glorification of God, advice, supplications, and moral teachings. It did not include commandments or prohibitions, as Prophet David (AS) followed the same law as the Torah. The Zabur had a distinctive style and was rich in sermons.

The support and solidarity of your professors is a significant and consequential development. This can offer some measure of comfort in the face of your government's police brutality and the pressures it is exerting on you. I too am among those who empathize with you young people, and value your perseverance.

The Quran's lesson for us Muslims and all of humanity, is to stand up for that which is right: "So be steadfast as you have been commanded" (11:112).

The Quran's lesson for human relations is: "Do not oppress and do not be oppressed" (2:279).

The Resistance Front advances by a comprehensive understanding and the practice of these and hundreds of other such commands – and will attain victory with the permission of God.

My advice to you is to become familiar with the Quran.
