The film was mostly successful with many critics giving a positive review. Roger Ebert, an American film critic for the Chicago Sun-Times, rated the film 3 out of 4 stars and wrote that ‘Conan The Destroyer’ is “sillier, funnier and more entertaining” than the first film ‘Conan The Barbarian’, which was actually a huge success, raking in over $130 million at box offices around the world. -

Something that not many people know is that ‘Conan The Destroyer’ helped make Arnold Schwarzenegger an American citizen because he needed citizenship in order to film in the U.S. He retains dual citizenship in Austria and America to this day.
